Groovy Chic Easel Card

Hi Friends!! I have been MIA for some time now from blogland..... and yeah I did miss it a lot. Dunno but I was just not feeling like blogging at all. So it was sort of a self-imposed break from blogging and crafting. I missed many of your posts too. But on and off I managed to see some of your wonderful stuff.... like Snehal's beautiful albums, Hussena and Priya's shabby chic cards.

I have not really crafted since more than a month now, so the card I am posting today is not recently made. I have used digis from digimyworld.com that I won for a craft challenge. I tried coloring the girl using Faber Castell Watercolor pencils.
 The opened up Easel card...
Have a great day!

Shaped Shabby Chic Card

Hi. This is the card for which I had shared a preview yesterday. I made this card for inspiration as Guest DT for Lulupu Challenge Blog. I was asked to make a Shaped Shabby Chic Card.
I have tried a jar shaped card for the first time!

I made this card for my mom’s birthday and so I designed it keeping her in mind. I wanted to make it fun and bright and chose bright red color for the card base and for the roses too.
I wanted the red roses to be the center point of the card. The butterfly and flower lace die cuts are a RAK from Juhi and they were perfect for this card.
The twine used on the card is from an old price tag. I added small cherries at two places: one on the twine and other is a 3D sticker just next to the butterfly. The 'MOM' letters are self-sticking plastic stickers.

Guest Designing for Lulupu

Hi peeps! I am so excited to guest design for Lulupu this month. Their challenge is to make a shaped shabby chic card. Hop on to Lulupu blog now to view my card.
Here's a sneak peak into my card.

Handmade Diwali Cards Using Indian prints

Ok here is my 5th and last post for the day. To see my other Diwali cards posted today, click here. To see all my Diwali cards made till now, click here.

I came across some really cool designer paper having Indian prints on it. So I decided to make use of them to make some general cards. These can be used for any Indian festive occasions or otherwise too. I have just added various punched borders, but have kept the overall look very simple and sober.

Handmade Diwali Cards Using Stamps

Do check my other posts for today to see all the cards, or you can click the Diwali label to see all my Diwali cards.
For this card I have used wooden paisley and floral Mehendi (Henna) stamps that we get very commonly at the market. I colored them using sketch pens and added a hint of bronze paint. The golden stickers are from Hobby Ideas.
I have deliberately not added any sentiment here so that it can be used for other festivals as well.
This is one card I really wanted to try out: coloring the Diya. I traced the diya using this stencil from Itsy Bitsy and deocrated and colored it. The border stamp is again from Itsy Bitsy. I added colored rhinestones on it. The sentiment stamp is from Jovita's store.

Handmade Diwali Cards Using Ganesh Stencils

Do check my other posts for today to see all the cards, or you can click the Diwali label to see all my Diwali cards.
For these 2 cards I used Ganesh stencil from Itsy Bitsy.
For the first card, I have done coloring using normal sketch pens and outlined using 3D outliner. The stamp used for the border below is also from Itsy Bitsy.

For this card I colored the Ganesha using bronze paint and outlined using 3D outliner. The bronze stamp impressions on top and bottom is made using Hobby Ideas mini stamps.

Handmade Diwali Cards Using Punches

Do check my other posts for today to see all the cards, or you can click the Diwali label to see all my Diwali cards.

For this card, I made lanterns using left over paper scraps from punches and outlined it using a 3D outliner. The diyas and flames are made using circle punch. The border is made using MS diamond fence punch to create the effect of a fence.
For this card I made the flowers using tile punch. I cut-out the tile to create this look. The paisley paper used below is from an old wedding card.

Handmade Diwali Cards Using Stencils

Hi friends. As mentioned in my last post, I am back with my bunch of Diwali cards. Do check my other posts for today to see all the cards, or you can click the Diwali label to see all my Diwali cards.
For this card, I used the diya stencil from Itsy Bitsy. I sponged the diya design on the card....
For this card also I have used the same stencil but I traced the diya design and and outlined it using 3D outliner.
For this card, I use a stencil from Pie Lane.
